OVERVIEW

Tilicho Lake Trek is one of the most famous high-altitude trekking routes in Nepal’s Annapurna region, leading to Tilicho Lake at 4,919 meters, one of the highest lakes in the world. This trek is highly popular for its spectacular Himalayan scenery, remote mountain trails, and close views of Annapurna range, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak, making it a top choice for adventure lovers.

The journey usually begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Chame or Manang, followed by an important acclimatization stop in Manang to prepare for high altitude. From there, the trail continues through Shree Kharka and Tilicho Base Camp before reaching the breathtaking Tilicho Lake, surrounded by snow-covered peaks and dramatic landscapes.

This trek is considered moderate to challenging due to its high altitude, steep ascents, and unpredictable mountain weather, so proper acclimatization and good physical fitness are essential for a safe and successful journey.

Despite the difficulty, the route is well-established with teahouse accommodation, local hospitality, and basic facilities, making it accessible for well-prepared trekkers. Tilicho Lake is not only a natural wonder but also holds cultural and spiritual significance in Hindu and Buddhist traditions, making this trek a perfect blend of adventure, culture, and unforgettable Himalayan beauty.

Shivadip Travels ensures a safe, well-organized, and memorable trekking experience with experienced guides, proper planning, and full support throughout the journey.
